WORDS ON MARBLE

These are sayings I have thought of or gotten from different social media pages.
I find them useful and inspiring and I hope someone else will too.

Don't get you hopes and aspirations up too fast.
Don't let your fears speak too loud.
Nothing protects the heart like peace.
Life is trusting our feelings, taking chances, appreciating memories and learning from the past.
Fix yourself with God's help.
Stop seeking justification from unjust people, only God can justify.
People always feel the need to give opinions even when not solicited for. Take what is necessary and ignore the rest.
Life as we know it will always present uncertainties.

I hope this takes someone through the week.
Have a blessed and stressfree week ahead..

HOME REMEDIES TO CLEAR ACNE SPOTS

Acne spots are very common amongst ladies and most times are hard to get rid off.
Here are some proven home remedies that work..
1) Lemon and baking soda.
Lemon has lightening properties and its effective at fading scars.
Baking soda helps remove dead skin by exfoliating. Both should be mixed and applied all over a clean face. Leave it on for some minutes until its dried then wash off.

2) Tumeric powder, sandalwood powder, olive or coconut oil.
Tumeric and sandalwood powders are antioxidant and can be found in most beauty products. The powders are effective at clearing spots and giving a clearer skin.
Mix equal amount of tumeric powder and sandalwood powder in a bowl, add little olive or coconut oil and mix until it forms a paste. Apply to a clean face and wait for few minutes so it dries up completly then wash off. Be sure to moisturize afterwards.

3) Honey and Cinnamon.

HOW TO MAKE JOLLOF ACHA
Acha is a grain also known as fonio and is very popular amongst the northerners in Nigeria. It can be made into a pudding and taken like any other cereal. It can also be used as thickner for soups and can be made into jollof as well.
I like it because it is easy to make and fast to cook too. The downside is that it has a lot of sand and has to be washed carefully. I recommend using a pot to wash it, that way the sand settles at the bottom and makes it easier to wash.
Ingredients.
1. 2 cups of acha(serves 2)
2. Chopped pepper, tomatoes, onion and any other vegetable of your choice.
3. Groundnut oil.
4. Seasoning and salt.
5. Meat or fish (I used eggs for mine)

Boil the meat/fish and the use the stock to cook, that way you add very little seasoning.
When the meat or fish is cooked, add the chopped onion, tomatoes, pepper and vegetables and allow to boil for few minutes.
Add little seasoning, salt and groundnut oil.
Then add the washed acha and cover to cook for few minutes. It cooks really fast so in about five minutes it should be ready.
Check to see if its properly cooked and soft, if not add little water until it turns into a pottage and is really soft.
Then you serve.
Know any other way to make it? please let me know.
